Consumer and Class Action Litigation

Rovens Lamb is experienced in prosecuting and defending consumer related claims alleging violation of California’s False Advertising Act (Business & Professions Code § 17500), California’s Unfair Competition Laws (Business and Professions Code §17200), California’s Consumers Legal Remedies Act (Civil Code § 1750), and related federal laws claims. We have represented one of the world’s largest energy companies (and defended it) against a class action suit filed on behalf of counties and other governmental entities throughout California.  We also defended clients against claims of environmental contamination and under California’s Proposition 65 warnings law.  Rovens Lamb also prosecuted a lawsuit against one of the world’s best-known bottled water companies for unfair competition, violation of California’s antitrust laws (Cartwright Act), interference with contractual and business relations, and related business fraud claims, which resulted in a seven figure settlement on the courthouse steps.
